Daido Steel Co., Ltd. and its subsidiaries and affiliates (hereinafter collectively “Daido Group”) fully recognizes the importance of protecting Personal Data and handles all Personal Data received from customers, business partners, and other related parties (hereinafter “Business Partners”) appropriately under the following policy.

1. Legal compliance

⑴ In handling Personal Data, we comply with the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information” and other related ordinances, guidelines, etc.
⑵ We establish and comply with internal company regulations concerning the handling of Personal Data and review them in a timely and appropriate manner.

2. Purpose of Processing Personal Data

We announce or notify the party concerned of the purpose of Processing Personal Data after specifying it to the extent possible, and we handle the Personal Data in question only within the scope of the purpose of Processing.

3. How we collect your Personal Data and what Personal Data we collect

We collect and use Personal Data by lawful and fair means and only to the extent necessary to fulfill its purpose of Processing.

4. Proper management

⑴ We take all necessary and appropriate safety control measures in order to prevent the leakage, loss, damage, etc. of Personal Data.
⑵ We strive to keep the Personal Data in our possession accurate and up-to-date and to erase without delay any Personal Data that no longer needs to be used.

5. Restrictions on third-party provision

Except in cases in which the consent of the party is obtained in advance or in which the law stipulates otherwise, we do not share any Personal Data in our possession with third parties. However, in cases in which a third party is entrusted with the handling of Personal Data within the scope necessary to fulfill its purpose of Processing, in cases in which there is a merger, etc. with another company, or in cases in which Personal Data is used jointly between specific parties, Personal Data may be shared with a third party without your prior consent.

6. Responding to requests for disclosure, etc.

Any requests received from Business Partners for disclosure, correction, addition, removal, suspension of use, erasure, suspension of provision to third parties, disclosure of third-party provision records, etc. are responded to without delay.

7. Education

We continue to educate and build awareness for directors, employees, etc. in order to reinforce and strengthen our commitment to the protection of Personal Data.

8. Revision

⑴ Daido Group reserves the right to revise this Privacy Policy and may make revisions without prior notice.
⑵ If there are changes to the purpose of Processing Personal Data, we will promptly notify our Business Partners of the changes to the purpose of Processing or announce them.
⑶ If there are changes to the purpose of Processing Personal Data for joint use or to the party responsible for the management of Personal Data, we will first notify Business Partners of the changes or announce them.

Purpose of Processing Personal Data

In cases in which Business Partners are not individually and expressly notified of the purpose of Processing Personal Data, Daido Machinery, Ltd. (hereinafter “we”/“us”/“our”) uses the Personal Data of Business Partners for the following purposes. However, cases in which the purpose of Processing is evident in light of the circumstances at the time of the acquisition of Personal Data are excluded.
In addition, information collected on browsing histories, purchasing histories, etc. is analyzed and used to serve advertisements about new products and services according to interests and preferences:


(a) to communicate with Business Partners;
(b) to respond to inquiries, requests, etc. from Business Partners;
(c) to provide information on products, services, events, etc. and to conduct public relations activities;
(d) to perform duties related to the performance of contracts, transactions, etc. with Business Partners and to perform related and incidental duties;
(e) to conduct research and development activities and related and incidental operations;
(f) to submit various applications, reports, etc. to government and public agencies;
(g) to carry out various internal and external group activities and related and incidental operations;
(h) to communicate with Affiliates, subcontractors, etc. and to exchange information necessary for the performance of business;
(i) to carry out other business activities and other operations related or incidental to the above purposes;
(j) to exercise rights and fulfill obligations under corporate law;
(k) to provide shareholders with various conveniences due to their position;
(l) to implement various measures for facilitating our relationship with shareholders; and
(m) to compile data for shareholder management in accordance with standards prescribed in various laws and regulations.

Daido Group may share the following Personal Data about Business Partners collected by Affiliates.

Name, age, gender, date of birth, name of company/organization, department, title/position, qualifications, personal history, and contact information

・to provide information and contacts regarding various products, services, events, etc. offered by Affiliates;
・to respond to inquiries and requests from Business Partners; and
・to properly and smoothly carry out other Daido Group operations.

Security Control Measures

We take the following security control measures to prevent the leakage, loss, damage, etc. of Personal Data. In order to ensure the proper handling of Personal Data, we have established basic policies on “Legal Compliance,” “Inquiries,” etc., and have established rules for handling Personal Data in regards to handling methods, the person in charge and his/her duties, etc. for each of the stages of acquisition, use, storage, provision, erasure, disposal, etc.

We provide training to our executives and employees on points to be considered in the handling of Personal Data, and we also include items concerning the nondisclosure of Personal Data in our rules of employment.

In cases in which we or an entrusted third party handles the Personal Data of Business Partners in a foreign country, we ascertain the systems for protecting Personal Data in that country and implement appropriate and reasonable security control measures.
